STA Forum: Engage with EUROPE

Edinburgh - Saturday 27 February 2010

Funded by the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme Grundtvig, the Scottish Transgender Alliance is taking part in a European Learning Partnership Project with the following transgender equality organisations:

  • Transgender Europe (TGEU)
  • Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI)
  • Transgender Network Netherlands (TNN)
  • TransInterQueer Berlin (TrIQ)

Over 2010 and 2011, there will be short exchange visits arranged between Scotland, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria (possibly also to France and Sweden). A call for STA volunteers to participate will be launched in early March for the first STA exchange trip to Dublin taking place at the end of April.

On Saturday 27th February 2010, ten European transgender equality activists are meeting with the Scottish Transgender Alliance in Edinburgh.

From 4pm until 7:30pm there will be a STA Forum held in Edinburgh to enable any interested Scottish trans people and allies to meet with these visiting German, Austrian, Dutch and Irish trans activists. Come along and find out more about this new learning exchange project and how European trans rights work can have an impact in Scotland.

Forum Agenda:

4:30pm to 5:30pm = Discussion about European Trans Work
