Housing & Community Issues

Everyone has a fundamental need for a safe and secure place to live.  People are likely to experience depression, anxiety and low self-esteem as a result of being homeless or experiencing abuse within their home.  Similarly, having a strong sense of belonging to a community is important for health and wellbeing.

Being included and valued within their local geographical community is of significant importance to transgender people.  Often transgender people also want to be able to have contact with a vibrant and robust community of interest in the form of good quality, accessible transgender or LGBT community groups.
