About Us

Our STA Forums are a brilliant opportunity for all interested trans people to help steer the work of the Scottish Transgender Alliance. Help set the agenda by letting us know what you would like to discuss at future STA Forums.

Remember that travel bursaries are available for anyone for whom travel costs would be a barrier to attending a STA Forum. We strive to make all our STA Forums as accessible as possible - please let us know about any access requirements you have.

The STA Forums currently planned for 2011-2012 are as follows:

STA Forum on 22nd October 2011 in Dundee with information and discussions about: the NHS Gender Reassignment Protocol, Marriage Equality for Trans People, Gender Identity Monitoring Questions and Transgender Day of Remembrance Events.

Online STA Forum on 17th January 2012 to discuss: how you would like the STA website, facebook page and twitter feed expanded and improved, and also how online networking can be used to better include trans people outwith the central belt in the work of the STA. If you have additional topics you would like to discuss at this Online STA Forum, please let us know as soon as possible.

STA Forum in March 2012 (location still to be decided) with a discussion in partnership with the National LGBT Forum about transgender inclusion in sports. Let us know what else you'd like to see included on the agenda.
