Pride Scotia in Edinburgh
June 15, 2013
Come and join us at Pride Scotia in Edinburgh on Saturday 15th June.
There are several Scottish Transgender Alliance and Equality Network volunteer opportunities to help out at Pride. If you are interested in volunteering with us at Pride, please complete our volunteer form.
We will be carrying a joint Scottish Transgender Alliance and Equality Network banner on the Pride March and you are most welcome to march with us. Then we will be staffing a Scottish Transgender Alliance stall as part of the Health and Community Fair in Teviot Row House. If you have any trans related info or trans support group flyers you would like us to hand out, please contact us and we will arrange to collect them from you. We can also help create and print new flyers for trans support groups.
The Pride March will assemble from 11.30am outside the Scottish Parliament and will move off up the Royal Mile at Noon. The March will pause for half an hour or so outside the City Chambers where there will be speeches by invited guests. After that, the Pride March will proceed along George IV Bridge to Bristo Square where there will be an outdoor stage with top entertainment.
In Bristo Square, Teviot Row House will host the following:
– Health and Community Fair (where our stall will be)
– An indoor stage with more entertainment
– Sports Bar with sport on large screen TVs
– Afternoon Club with all your favourite scene DJs
– Unlicensed Tea Dance hosted by the Order of Perpetual Indulgence
The whole event is free – no tickets – just turn up and take part in Scotland’s annual Pride celebration.
