Our annual conference will be held at Dundee Contemporary Arts on Saturday 17th June, and you can book your ticket here:
https://www.outsavvy.com/event/14110/scottish-trans-conference-2023-care-community
The free, day-long conference will be an opportunity for the trans community and our allies to come together to learn, share, and discuss how we can best uplift trans people and our voices. (Plus – free lunch!)
The event will be open to all trans and non-binary people and our supportive friends, parents, partners, families and allies, who are 18 years old and over.
We will have a range of sessions for you to attend, including: a panel discussion from inspiring healthcare campaigners; workshops where you can build your confidence and skills in talking about trans lives; creative sessions where you can make something that matters to you, plus lots more to be announced! Plus if you find yourself bored (how could you!) you can check out the exhibitions and films happening at the DCA on the day: https://www.dca.org.uk/whats-on
This conference is a community focused space, and we have set aside a few slots for individuals, groups or organisations to run sessions. Want to put on a session? Tell us your ideas!: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ScotTransConf23Workshops
We would particularly welcome workshops that focus on parts of our community that are less often heard, for example disabled trans people, trans people of colour, trans people of faith etc, and as we only have limited slots these will be prioritised.
You can get details about accessibility and remote participation for sessions on the event page.
See you there!
